Handtücher von MÖVE – Qualität Made in Germany
Frottierwaren von MÖVE werden ausschließlich in Deutschland gefertigt, Made in Germany - nach den höchsten deutschen Standards. Die hauseigene Produktion inkl. Logistik befindet sich in Großschönau (Sachsen), einem traditionsreichen Ort, denn schon im Barock ließen europäische Fürsten hier kostbare Damaste weben. 1856 wurde in Großschönau der erste Frottierwebstuhl Deutschlands in Betrieb genommen; es entstand ein wichtiges Zentrum der Frottierweberei.
Heute lässt MÖVE an 30 Jacquard-Webstühlen Handtücher und andere hochwertige Frottiererzeugnisse fertigen. Einzigartig in der Branche: MÖVE beschäftigt 240 Mitarbeiter und besitzt eine vollstufige Produktion, d.h. der gesamte Herstellungsprozess von der Kettherstellung über das Weben und Färben bis hin zur Veredelung findet in der eigenen Fertigungsstätte statt. Nachhaltigkeit und Umweltschutz stehen dabei gleichberechtigt in einer Reihe mit moderner Produktion, der Qualität unserer Handtücher und dem Know-How unserer Mitarbeiter.
What is a MÖVE towel made of?
Our MÖVE towels are made from the finest raw materials and with great attention to detail. Every day, 24,000 towels produced from 12,000 m² of terry fabric leave our facility after meticulous final inspection. The majority of our MÖVE towels are made from 100% finest cotton. Due to its special properties, it is particularly well suited for our fluffy towels. However, other material blends have also found their way into production. Our wellness collections, for example, are primarily made from cotton/linen – this gives the towels a distinctive look and a firm texture. Sportier collections such as MÖVE Athleisure or MÖVE Denim are partly combined with a proportion of polyester – this makes the products lightweight and shortens drying time. Viscose is also sometimes a component of our towels. It gives the towels and terry products a subtle sheen and an extra-soft feel.
What towel sizes are available at MÖVE?
At MÖVE, we offer the classic towel size of 50 x 100 cm, as well as the comfort size of 60 x 110 cm. There are also larger sizes such as shower towels (80 x 150 cm), bath towels (100 x 160 cm), and sauna towels (80 x 200 cm). Smaller items are also included in our collections – from washcloths (15 x 20 cm) and soap cloths (30 x 30 cm) to guest towels (30 x 50 cm).
