Bath Towels from MÖVE – Quality Made in Germany

Terry products from MÖVE are exclusively manufactured in Germany, Made in Germany – according to the highest German standards. The in-house production, including logistics, is located in Großschönau (Saxony), a place with a rich tradition, as European princes had precious damasks woven here as early as the Baroque period. In 1856, the first terry loom in Germany was put into operation in Großschönau; an important center for terry weaving emerged.

Today, MÖVE produces bath towels and other high-quality terry products on 30 Jacquard looms. Unique in the industry: MÖVE employs 240 staff and has a fully integrated production, meaning the entire manufacturing process—from warp preparation through weaving and dyeing to finishing—takes place at its own facility. Sustainability and environmental protection are given equal importance alongside modern production, the quality of our towels, and the expertise of our employees.

What is a bath towel and how big is it?

A bath towel is referred to when the towel exceeds the classic hand towel size of 50 x 100 cm. At MÖVE, we offer a bath towel size of 100 x 160 cm. As the name suggests, a bath towel is perfect for drying off after a relaxing or refreshing bath due to its size. You can wrap yourself in it from head to toe, and because of its size, the bath towel can absorb significantly more moisture than a hand towel.

What is the difference between a bath sheet and a shower towel?

A bath sheet generally provides more surface area than a shower towel. Our range includes, for example, a 100 × 160 cm format, while shower towels are often 67 × 140 cm or 80 × 150 cm. Bath sheets are suitable for wrapping around the body and as a comfortable surface to lie on.

Who is a large bath sheet suitable for?

A large bath sheet is useful if you want to wrap yourself up completely or prefer more surface area by the pool or in the bathroom. However, it requires more space in the washing machine, cupboard and when drying. Check the dimensions and fabric weight before buying.

What size should a bath sheet be?

A large format of around 100 × 160 cm offers plenty of surface area for wrapping around the body and lying on. Check that the size suits your height, intended use and available storage space. If you prefer a more compact towel, a shower towel is often the better choice.
