Hooded Bathrobes for Women, Men and Children – Made in Germany
Our cosy hooded bathrobes are produced in Germany, Made in Germany – according to the highest German standards. The in-house production, including logistics, is located in Großschönau (Saxony), a place with a long-standing tradition, as European princes were already weaving precious damasks here during the Baroque period. In 1856, Germany's first terry jacquard loom was put into operation in Großschönau, establishing an important centre for terry production.
Today, MÖVE operates 30 jacquard looms producing, among other things, the fabric for hooded bathrobes and other high-quality terry products. Unique in the industry: MÖVE employs 240 people and has a fully integrated production, meaning the entire manufacturing process – from warp preparation through weaving and dyeing to finishing – takes place in-house. Sustainability and environmental protection are given equal importance alongside modern production, the quality of our hooded robes, and the expertise of our staff.
What are the advantages of bathrobes with a hood?
The benefits of a hooded bathrobe are obvious. After a hot bath or a refreshing shower, you want to dry off while staying warm. A hooded bathrobe helps with this. It not only wraps the body gently but also provides a cosy feeling from head to toe. It also saves the need for an extra towel or hair turban.
A hood is especially useful for bathrobes for babies and toddlers. Since they are more sensitive to cold than adults, the hood provides additional protection against cooling down.
What are MÖVE hooded robes made of and how do you care for them?
Our MÖVE hooded robes are made from the finest yarns with great attention to detail. Most of them are made from 100% finest cotton, which – thanks to its special properties – is particularly suitable for our hooded robes: absorbent, soft & easy to care for. Since cotton can be processed in different ways, the following qualities are available:
- Terry – the classic material with the familiar loops on the front and back
- Piqué – this lightly textured fabric has no loops, is summer-light and quick-drying
In general, our hooded robes are easy to care for and can usually be washed in the machine at 60°C without any problem. Gentle tumble drying is also usually fine. To enjoy your bathrobe for a long time, please always follow the care instructions.

Our classic MÖVE SUPERWUSCHEL made from 100% cotton terry has been part of the range for over 40 years and is suitable for both women and men. Its timeless, attractive shape, appealing colours, and practical details such as pockets and belt leave nothing to be desired.
For those who love extra cosiness, our hooded robes from the MÖVE WELLNESS collection are perfect. Made from 100% cotton terry with special Airspin yarn, they are extra fluffy and pleasant to wear. With a length of 140 cm, they are ideal companions during the colder months.
For travellers – or for warmer seasons – we offer our MÖVE PIQUÉE kimonos. They are made from summer-light cotton piqué, which absorbs moisture well and dries quickly. The simple cut and range of colours make them the perfect companion for both women and men.
The unisex hooded robe MÖVE WELLBEING impresses with its particularly resource-efficient production and sustainable materials – organic cotton and linen from European cultivation. The distinctive ribbed texture, subtle side pockets, and casual belt are also appealing.
For women who prefer knee-length and slightly playful designs, the MÖVE GRAPHIC A-line robes and MÖVE HOMEWEAR robes are perfect. Whether polka-dotted or plain, they are always a good choice.
Even for the little ones, care has been taken: lovingly designed hooded robes for girls and boys complete the collection. Made from especially cosy cotton terry, they carry – like all MÖVE products – the OEKOTEX Standard 100, Product Class 1 seal.
