Plus-Size Bathrobes – Quality Made in Germany
Our MÖVE bathrobes in plus sizes are also manufactured in Germany, Made in Germany - to the highest German standards. The in-house production, including logistics, is based in Großschönau (Saxony), a place with a rich tradition, where European princes had precious damasks woven as far back as the Baroque period. In 1856, Germany’s first terry loom was put into operation in Großschönau, establishing an important centre for terry weaving.
Today, MÖVE produces plus-size bathrobes and other high-quality terry products on 30 Jacquard looms. Unique in the industry: MÖVE employs 240 staff and operates a fully integrated production, meaning the entire manufacturing process – from warp preparation through weaving, dyeing and finishing – takes place at our own facility. Sustainability and environmental protection are considered equally important alongside modern production, the quality of our plus-size bathrobes, and the expertise of our employees.
What Are Our Plus-Size MÖVE Bathrobes Made Of?
A MÖVE bathrobe in plus sizes is made from the finest yarns with great attention to detail. It is crafted from 100% premium cotton, which, due to its special properties – absorbent, soft & easy to care for – is particularly suitable for our bathrobes. As cotton can be processed in different ways, the following types of material are available:
- Terry – the classic material with the familiar loops on the front and back
- Velour terry – after weaving, the loops on the surface are sheared to create a velvety soft finish
- Piqué – a fabric without loops, making it light, summery and quick-drying

For those who like it especially cosy, our MÖVE SUPERWUSCHEL bathrobes are ideal. Made from 100% cotton terry and measuring 120 cm in length, they are perfect for any season. The hood is both a beautiful and practical detail.
For even more cosy and fluffy comfort, our hooded robe from the MÖVE WELLNESS collection is the best choice. Made from soft Airspin cotton yarn, it offers a large hood and a length of 140 cm for the ultimate snuggle experience. The Kimono MÖVE LOFT made of the same material has the same great qualities but features a minimalist cut without a hood.
For a particularly refined taste, MÖVE offers the shawl-collar robe MÖVE HOMEWEAR. Made from velvety soft cotton velour, it is a comfortable 125 cm long. The collar features contrasting piping, and a small, discreet embroidered MÖVE logo decorates the cuff.
For travellers – or for warmer seasons – we offer the MÖVE HOMEWEAR kimonos. Made from light, airy cotton piqué, they can absorb moisture well and dry quickly. Their simple kimono shape and range of colours make them the perfect companion for both women and men.
