Depending on whether you want to use the towel as a base or for drying off, you should choose the right size: For a lounger at the beach or pool, make sure the shorter side is no wider than 80–90 cm. Otherwise, the towel may be wider than typical loungers.

At the same time, you should choose a length of at least 180 cm so you can lie fully on the beach or sauna towel.

For drying off after a shower or bath, shorter towels such as bath towels are sufficient and especially comfortable and wide.

Choosing the right terry quality

In addition to the correct size, it is also important to choose the right quality for a large towel. In this context, “quality” refers not only to craftsmanship or material quality, but also to the weight per square meter.

Weight categories include:

• Light quality: between 380 and 449 g/m²
• Medium quality: between 450 and 499 g/m²
• Heavy quality: between 500 and 600 g/m²
• Luxury quality: more than 600 g/m²
