How large a storage basket for the bathroom should be depends on two factors: what should go inside? And how big is your bathroom? In large bathrooms with plenty of storage space, you can use both large and smaller storage baskets and boxes. In smaller bathrooms, baskets that can be placed on free surfaces—e.g., above the sink, above the toilet, or in an open shelf compartment—are ideal.
Which material is ideal for a storage basket?
In the bathroom, the humidity is often higher than in other rooms. Despite good ventilation or large windows, baskets or furniture can become damp due to water vapor. Therefore, easy-care materials that are water-resistant are ideal for the bathroom. We mainly use plastic, canvas, or bamboo wood, as bamboo is suitable for humid environments and does not swell or splinter. Metal can also be suitable if it is rust-free and of high quality.
