Heimtextil 2018 – News from the world of textiles
In early January, Heimtextil 2018 once again presented all kinds of new, inspiring textile highlights. Under this year's motto „Mad about textiles”, exhibitors, buyers and visitors alike were able to embark on an exciting tour of discovery, which we would like to share with you in today's blog post. And we at MÖVE also presented some exciting news.
Trends, wallpapers and top celebrities
At this year's Heimtextil, there were once again not only numerous new trends from across the textile industry to admire, but also many prominent guests. For instance, creativity queen Enie van de Meiklokjes held an inspiring workshop followed by a discussion round in which she spoke with visitors about current issues in the interior design industry, ensuring everyone stays up-to-date with the latest trends.
Since wallpapers are also a focal point of the most important and largest trade fair for home and contract textiles, alongside textiles for the living room and bathroom such as towels or bed linen, Barbara Schöneberger was not the only one to use the textile fair to present her new wallpaper collection. Barbara Becker also presented her newly designed wall-beautifiers from the „B.B. Home Passion“ collection this year.
Not only fashionable, but also functional: the new MÖVE collections „MISS MÖVE“, „MÖVE DENIM“ and „MÖVE CHARCOAL“
As you might expect, MÖVE also had exciting news for the trade fair audience this year. In addition to further exciting collections appearing in the MÖVE range in 2018, the „MISS MÖVE“, „MÖVE DENIM“ and „MÖVE CHARCOAL“ collections are among those in focus this year. Visually, they could not be more different, yet they all shine with the finest MÖVE quality.
The exclusive
„MISS MÖVE“ collection, available from
15 April 2018, features a feminine design in elegant pastel sorbet colours. The playful
design elements made of sparkling Swarovski crystals, which decorate the products in the
collection, provide the finishing touch to this young, cheeky lifestyle range.
With the
„MÖVE DENIM“ collection, MÖVE
shows that jeans are not just an item of clothing, but represent an entire lifestyle: freedom,
independence and youthfulness. Therefore, they should not be missing from any designer
collection – and certainly not from MÖVE! In reminiscence of blue jeans, the
towels in the collection, which will be released on 1 September 2018, have been finished with
characteristic, contrasting orange stitching and an authentic Alcantara leather label. Two
stylish dressing gowns are also available.
By contrast, the new
„MÖVE CHARCOAL“ collection, available from 1
October 2018, offers not only a sophisticated appearance but also an innovation: it contains activated charcoal from bamboo!
Due to its deep pores, activated charcoal binds harmful
substances like a magnet, preventing them from being absorbed into the cells, which
counteracts acidity and ageing processes in the body. In cosmetics, it absorbs sebum, impurities and toxins
and can also have a positive effect on skin ageing.
Bamboo charcoal – also known as the „black diamond“ in Japan and Southeast Asia – is the
special ingredient in „MÖVE CHARCOAL“ and has a very beneficial effect due to its large surface area: the activated charcoal is able to bind both odours and pollutants as well as
bacteria, thereby neutralising them. This makes
products with activated charcoal particularly suitable for use in the bathroom or for sports. The properties of the charcoal are retained even after washing and
drying; it is then active and ready for use once again.
