What defines high-quality bedding?
Beautiful and elegant bedding should not only be made from high-quality materials and well crafted, but also be free from harmful substances.
Pay attention to these materials:

Supima cotton is considered one of the best cottons in the world, known for being especially tear-resistant, durable, and colorfast.
Cotton satin is a cotton fabric woven in a satin weave. Its subtle sheen is visually appealing, but satin bedding can do more: it is temperature-regulating and does not require ironing.
Small details such as decorative piping, like in our MÖVE Noblesse collection, should also match in color and provide a subtle contrast to the rest of the material. Careful and precise workmanship is also important: if you cannot see or feel the bedding in person, take a close look at detailed photos to get an impression of the product.

Elegant bedding: patterned or plain?
We associate white with purity and elegance. This also applies to bedding—after all, lint or stains are especially noticeable here. However, your luxury bedding does not have to be white; it can also be another color.
Rather muted, classic colors are particularly associated with elegance. These include:

You should avoid bold or very dark colors such as burgundy or black.
Reversible bedding can also look elegant: both sides feature different patterns. If you would like to add some color but do not want patterned bedding, here’s a tip:
Combine different but matching colors from the same product line! For example, you can complement light grey pillowcases with white or cream-colored duvet covers, or choose a different tone for your fitted sheet. You can also use additional cushions to achieve the desired effect.
Which closure is especially high-quality?
Very inexpensive bedding is often sold without any closure at all, simply draped over the duvet or pillow. This can result in the filling showing through, which does not look elegant.
