If you still prefer some coverage or enjoy drying off in a well-fitting robe rather than wrapping yourself in a towel, consider shorter summer bathrobes. Many styles are knee-length or even shorter, making them ideal for warmer weather.

Lightweight piqué kimonos are also perfect for summer. Originally, a kimono is a traditional Japanese garment held in place with a wide belt, typically featuring wide sleeves and a more complex way of dressing. A kimono-style bathrobe offers a simpler alternative: easy to put on and perfectly suited for warm days.

Perfect companions for the sauna

In the sauna, cosy bathrobes that reach mid-calf are particularly popular. This helps keep your legs warm even when seated, allowing you to relax comfortably until the next sauna session. A hood makes the robe even more comfortable and provides additional protection against cooling down.

An alternative option is an oversized sauna towel, which can be used both as a seat cover and for drying off and wrapping up. However, if you prefer not to rely on a towel and value freedom of movement, a sarong or sauna kilt is a modern and practical choice. Unlike towels, they stay securely in place and often include useful pockets. They are also a lightweight and convenient option for days at the beach.

Bathrobe or dressing gown?
